Broward County, Florida is served by the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida. It is the second largest jurisdiction in the state of Florida; the 17th Judicial Circuit serves over 1.5 million residents, with 77 full time judges.

Broward County is a two-tier judicial system: Circuit Court and County Court. Each of these levels is divided into two different areas of jurisdiction: civil and criminal.
