Gordon & Doner

2009 South Florida Fire Fest

The law firm of Gordon & Doner donated $10,000 to support the 2009 South Florida Fire Fest event. The all-day event was held in order to raise money to benefit Heather Mahhoney and James Howard, two fire service personnel recently diagnosed with cancer. A portion of the proceeds was also directed to the Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Benevolent Fund, Inc. which helps those in need of financial support as well as those forced to take time off to manage hindering medical conditions.

Fire Fest 2009 was a jam-packed all-day event with live bands, DJs, and even local firefighters playing the pipes and drums. Over 2,000 attendees had the option of participating in a poker run, a Texas hold em' tournament, a domino tournament, speed dating with firemen, as well as photo opportunities with the South Florida male firefighters and America's female firefighters. There were endless opportunities to have fun and support a great cause.

A total of $32,000 was raised through the efforts of the 2009 Fire Fest. Gordon and Doner was honored to participate in Fire Fest and have the opportunity to give back to the fire service community. "We are proud to support our local firefighters who serve and protect our community. As a law firm who represents the injured, we understand the danger firefighters put themselves in order to help rescue those in need," says Robert Gordon. "We are grateful for their dedication to our community."
