9-Year-Old Girl Hit by Car While Getting Off School Bus in Acreage

A 9-year-old girl was struck by a car yesterday as she was getting off her school bus in the Acreage. The pedestrian accident occurred near the corner of 130th Ave N and Persimmon Boulevard; the girl was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center and is being treated for injuries.

A 9-year-old girl was hit by a car in The Acreage when she was getting off a school bus Tuesday afternoon.

Palm Beach Fire Rescue were called to the corner of 130th Ave. N. and Persimmon Boulevard where the pedestrian was hit. Captain Albert Borroto said the girl was flown to St. Marys Medical Center with injuries. Her condition is unknown.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Officers are investigating and a spokesperson said it's not being considered a hit-and-run accident.
