Florida residents must take caution prior to taking a bite into their next bagel and cream cheese. Officials have found pieces of metal in some of the packages for a variety of different bagels, some of which were being sold at local grocery stores throughout the state of Florida.
Bimbo Bakeries is responsible for baking these bagels and include the following brands: Publix, Weight Watchers, Sara Lee, and Thomas. The dangerous bagels will be marked with a best by date of January 18th through January 27th. All Florida residents who have recently purchased bagels by any of these brands must refrain from consumption.
According to the company's staff, metal fragments were found in the two of the packages due to a faulty manufacturing part. While no injuries have yet been reported and no consumers have reported finding metal inside of their bagel packaging, any person who has purchased bagels from any of listed brands must contact Bimbo Bakeries to return the item for a full refund.
If you or a loved one believes that you have consumed any of these bagel products and have been injured, you may be entitled to compensation.
