Around 1a.m. a car crashed into the Miami Dade College's Liberty City campus leaving one dead and three more injured. Daytime classes were cancelled at the Miami-Dade College branch and it is unknown whether evening classes will resume.
According to witnesses a silver Lincoln sedan was seen speeding when the car spun out of control and slammed into the college entrance. The car burst into flames and narrowly avoided crashing into two people at a bus stop nearby.
One of the passengers in the vehicle ran off while two others were taken to a local area hospital where one remains in critical condition. One person was killed during the wreck.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash and clean-up crews are working to clear-out the accident scene.
