Gordon & Partners is proud to announce that attorney Douglas H. Morris has been recognized in the 2020 edition of Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite™ in the Civil Trial practice area.
For the past 17 years, Florida Legal Elite has showcased the state’s top licensed and practicing attorneys as voted by their peers. The 1,071 honorees on the list this year represent just over one percent of all active Florida Bar members. This list includes attorneys working in private practice law firms and attorneys working in both the government and non-profit sectors.
As head of the medical malpractice department, Douglas represents victims of malpractice and handles wrongful death, nursing home abuse and catastrophic injury cases. He has dedicated his entire career to helping those who have been injured due to negligence or wrongdoing.
Douglas being selected among Florida’s top attorneys by his peers further exemplifies his commitment to excellence in the legal profession.
About Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite™
Florida Legal Elite is comprised of a distinguished group of attorneys currently licensed and practicing within the state. The selection process started in October of 2019 when Florida Trend invited all in-state Florida Bar members to vote. Legal professionals were asked to name attorneys they hold in highest regard or would recommend to others. All votes were processed and calculated by an outside vendor.
Attorneys were then issued a score based on their number of votes. More consideration was granted to votes outside their law firms. Those with the highest number of votes were examined using membership status and histories issued by The Florida Bar. A panel comprised of former Legal Elite honorees from different practice areas throughout the state reviewed the final list of honorees to make a determination.
Gordon & Partners offers their congratulations to Douglas for this great honor.
