Florida residents must take caution before eating their next batch of spinach. Taylor Farms Retail, Inc. issued a nationwide recall of its Organic Baby Spinach products due to a potential E. coli contamination. The affected spinach will be found in the 16 oz. tray package, marked with a UPC number 0-30223-04780-3. Consumers are instructed to refrain from consuming the product and to dispose of any remaining spinach.
While no illnesses have been reported as of yet, Taylor Farms Retail, Inc. has issued this voluntary recall as a safety precaution. Those who have consumed this spinach product must be conscious of the most common symptoms associated with E. coli. Those who feel any type of nausea or stomach cramping and those who are experiencing vomiting or diarrhea are advised to seek medical care immediately.
In addition to the Taylor Farms brand, the following brands may also be contaminated with E. coli: Marketside Organic, Simple Truth Organic, Central Market Organics, and Full Circle Organic.
