In an unfortunate series of events, Lizza Blunt was involved in a serious auto accident on Sunday morning at 11:29 am. Blunt was traveling on Interstate 75 near County Road 6 with one passenger in her vehicle, a 2000 Ford SUV.

Blunt, a 42 year old from Wesley Chapel, died on impact according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Her passenger, a 27 year old, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center following the accident to treat severe injuries.

According to the report, Blunt was traveling down Interstate 75 when she swerved to avoid a tire in the middle of the road, causing this single vehicle accident. After swerving to avoid the tire, Blunt over-corrected the vehicle, causing it overturn into the median.

While the vehicle was upright when it came to rest, the impact was too intense for Blunt to survive. An update on her passenger is not yet available to the public.
