Three paramedics were transported to Florida Medical Center after being involved in a collision while responded to a call in the area. The accident occurred on Sunrise Boulevard and Northwest 47th Avenue around 1:30p.m.
According to authorities the ambulance was responding to a call in Lauderhill when a blue pick-up truck rear-ended the emergency response vehicle. The front of the Ford pick-up truck was smashed in but the driver did not experience any injuries.
Three paramedics were injured and reportedly suffered neck and back injuries. Police will continue to investigate the accident to discover what was the cause of the rear-end accident.
