Ready Pac Foods, Inc. based in Swedesboro, New Jersey, has issued a recall for one of its subsidiary Missa Bay, LLC. Reports have revealed that the company's apples may potentially contain Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was voluntary as Listeria monocytogenes was found on equipment utilized by Missa Bay, LLC last Friday.

The prepackaged apple slices are sold as sides in both McDonalds and Burger, as well as in a number of retail stores across the United States. The recall that took place included 293,488 cases and 296,224 individual items of vegetable, fruit, and additional sandwich products.

Florida, one of the states included in the recall, should be aware of these particular apple slices before consumption. While no illnesses have been reported in connection to the sliced apples to date, precaution should still be exercised.

A full list of the recalled items can be found on Food Safety News.

If you or a loved one believes they have consumed these contaminated apples, a West Palm Beach personal injury attorney of Gordon & Doner is prepared to fight for you rights.
