Peg Perego Recalls Strollers Due to Strangulation Hazard

Posted on behalf of Gordon & Doner on Jul 27, 2012 in Consumer Alerts

About 223,000 strollers were recalled by Peg Perego this week due to a strangulation hazard that claimed the life of a six-month-old boy in 2004.

The recall includes Peg Peregos Venezia and Pliko-P3 strollers which were manufactured between January 2004 and September 2007 and were sold at various retailers across the nation.

Only strollers with a child trap and one cup holder are a part of the recall. For a detailed list of the model numbers involved in the recall, be sure to visit Peg Peregos website.

When the child is not harnessed properly into the stroller, entrapment and strangulation can take place, especially in children younger than a year old.

According to Peg Peregos website, strollers with a bumper bar or a tray with two cup holders are not included with this recall.
