Reports from the Palm Beach Post indicate that an early morning auto accident in Port St. Lucie took the lives of a man and woman while their adult son suffered severe leg injuries in the crash.

John Lasecki, 38, survived the wreck that took the lives of both his parents, Mary Lasecki, 58, and John Lasecki, 60, as they traveled southbound on S.W. Bayshore Blvd. in a Chrysler PT Cruiser. The crash occurred at the intersection when another vehicle, a Chrysler Pacifica, attempted to turn west while in the northbound lane.

Laseckis parents died at the scene and Lasecki, who was in the back seat of the Cruiser, had to be cut from the wreckage, according to Port St. Lucie Police spokesperson Sgt. Frank Sabol.

The identity of the Pacifica driver has been released as Bart Cincotta, 68, who suffered only minor injuries.

No further information was available at the time of the Posts report but police have asked for assistance from eyewitnesses to determine a possible cause of the crash.
