Additional police officers will be on our South Florida roadways and highways this weekend, as Sun Fest and Cinco de Mayo are upon us. Police will be focusing on drunken drivers along with underage drinking.
In 2007, a total of 3,357 people died as a result of drunk drivers, while the focus is to eliminate drunk drivers by increasing enforcement. Although it is great to enjoy Sun Fest and the Cinco de Mayo, it is recommended to prepare for the festivities beforehand. This includes; designating a sober driver, taking a taxi, or utilizing our public transportation.
At Gordon & Doner, our auto accident attorneys believe that if an individual has been injured by a drunk driver, they may be eligible to receive compensation for their losses and damages including; pain and suffering, loss of wages, property damage, and medical expenses.
