Florida residents must exercise caution on their next Starbucks run. According to reports from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Flying Food Group, makers of the Protein Bistro Boxes sold at Starbucks, are voluntarily recalling an item for possible Salmonella contamination.
Flying Food Group is the maker of these peanut butter squeeze packs found in the Protein Bistro Boxes sold within Starbucks stores, as well as a number of others store throughout the country. Amongst several other states, Florida residents who have purchased this product with dates listed from 8/10/12 to 10/6/12 must discard or destroy the food item.
In addition to Starbucks Protein Bistro Boxes, Justins Honey Peanut Butter has also been recalled from stores. Both items have been potentially contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella can cause serious infection in those who consume the organism.
If you or a loved one may have consumed either of the contaminated products, contact a medical professional as soon as possible.
