Florida Highway Patrol arrived on scene Saturday after a semi-truck accident occurred just east of Tallahassee on Interstate 10. Daniel G. Moses, 39, was driving a Van Buren truck in Madison County when he collided with a pine tree around 1 p.m.
Moses reportedly lost control of the semi-truck while he was traveling east on I-10. According to the accident report, Moses crossed over the median, as well as two lanes of westbound traffic, prior to hitting the tree. Due to the severity of the collision, the trucker was identified by the photo in his drivers license as well as family photos.
Moses wife believes that Daniel may have suffered from some type of heart attack which causes the crash. Due to the fact that the collision may have been caused by a medical condition, the trucking will not be able to pay for the body to be shipped back to his hometown of Arkansas. In order to raise funds for funeral expenses, the family has set up a Daniel Moses Funeral Fund bank account.
