Gary M. Paige Honored with Induction Into Verdicts Hall of Fame for Two Product Liability Cases

Two verdicts secured by Gary M. Paige, associate attorney at Gordon & Partners , will be part of the newly created Verdicts Hall of Fame by The Daily Business Review, in conjunction with Verdict Search.

The two cases, Dorothy Alexander, as personal representative of the Estate of Coleman Alexander v. Lorillard Tobacco Company and Joan Schoeff, as Personal Representative of the Estate of James Edward Schoeff v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company rank among the Top 5 in the product liability category of awards in Florida between 2011 and 2013.

A ceremony will be taking place on Sept. 10 in Key Biscayne to honor inductees.

In Dorothy Alexander, as personal representative of the Estate of Coleman Alexander v. Lorillard Tobacco Company, after a three-week trial the jury found in favor of Alexander and awarded her $20 million in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages.

In Joan Schoeff, as Personal Representative of the Estate of James Edward Schoeff v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, the total verdict amount was $40.5 million – $30 million was awarded for punitive damages.

Paige manages the Broward County office of Gordon & Partners and has won a number of multi-million dollar verdicts. In 2009, he was recognized as the Most Effective Lawyer for Product Liability cases by the Daily Business Review.
