Nissan Airbag Recall Lawsuits
On Mar. 26, 2014, Nissan Motor Co. issued a recall affecting more than one million vehicles sold in the United States and 60,000 in Canada. These cars, SUVs and vans have defective computer software which may cause a passenger-side airbag to fail to deploy if a crash occurs.
If you were involved in an auto accident and the passenger-side airbag failed to deploy, you may be entitled to file a claim. The Nissan airbag recall affects makes and models across the U.S.
Gordon & Partners’s class action attorneys are prepared to represent you in court if you own one of these defective vehicles, or if you or a loved one was hurt because of failing airbags. Our firm offers free legal consultations so that you can obtain information on your legal rights.

The defective Nissan airbags contain a deployment sensor that can shut off at random, which greatly increases the risk of injury or death, should the airbags fail to deploy in the event of an accident.
If you purchased one of the following vehicles, you could be eligible for compensation:
- 2013-14 Altima
- 2013-14 Sentra
- 2013-14 Pathfinder
- 2013-14 Leaf

- 2013 Nissan NV 200
- 2014 Infiniti Q50
- 2014 Infiniti QX60

How Long was Nissan Aware of This Issue?
In recall documents, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that Nissan knew of a similar issue as far back as February 2013. Nissan allegedly knew of instances where the passenger-side airbag did not deploy.
Although the issue was corrected at the time, consumers were still submitting complaints and warranty claims, even in vehicles that had been fixed.
The NHTSA opened up an investigation into the recall in April. Since the recall was announced, the NHTSA received more than 100 more complaints by consumers who alleged problems with the sensors after recall repairs. Some complaints noted that auto dealers had to make multiple repairs.
