Takata Airbag Recall Lawyers
Airbags are one of the most advanced features installed in modern vehicles and they have undoubtedly saved countless lives. However, the vast recall by Takata Corporation reveals that this safety feature could also put drivers and passengers in danger when a corporation fails to properly manufacture its product.
The faulty airbags have defective inflators that can rupture, thus causing metal fragments to fly out when the airbags deploy. At least 11 deaths have been linked to these airbags and more than 100 other people have been injured.
If you or someone you love has been injured by a defective airbag, our Takata airbag recall lawyers can help you fight for your rights. You may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost wages and mental anguish.

Warnings from the NHTSA
On Oct. 22, 2014, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a press release urging owners of vehicles recalled due to unsafe Takata airbags to get their vehicles repaired immediately. Since then, the NHTSA has taken several steps in order to remedy the Takata airbag recall debacle.
In November 2015, the Department of Transportation imposed the largest civil penalty in history against Takata. Along with the $200 million penalty, the company was required to phase out the manufacture and sale of the defective inflators.
Since the initial recall in 2014, there have been dozens more by approximately 14 auto manufacturers. Some auto manufacturers have had to expand their recalls multiple times.
Vehicles Affected By This Recall
As of 2016, more than 24 million vehicles were involved in the Takata airbag recall. Approximately 7.5 million of these vehicles had been repaired. For a full list of the affected vehicles, visit http://www.safercar.gov.
