James Fuller, a 16-year-old resident of Coral Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a truck at the intersection of Wiles and Rock Island roads on Saturday night.
Fuller was hit by a Ford truck being driven by Matthew Hoyt who was driving westbound and entered the intersection on a flashing yellow light. Fuller was pedaling north across Wiles Road on Rock Island on a flashing red light.
Hoyt was not injured in the crash and the investigation remains under investigation. Poor visibility may have been a factor in the accident. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Eric Schuster at the Coral Springs Police Department Traffic Unit.
